From Ashes I'm Reborn, The beginning of a blog

Like the title of the blog says, starting this blog to give you a glimpse behind the facade of Crib45.

I've never really done anything like this, even the vague attempts on doing a studio diary or a tour journal have failed before they even really started, so let's see if this lasts or not. So what's going on behind what seems like an endless period of silence? Well, for starters, the constant evolution of the lineup has kept us pretty busy on this revolving door of the members that occasionally seems like a merry-go-round from hell. The constant lineup changes has definitely affected on the plans and schedules, not to mention the writing period itself. It's safe to say that the ride isn't always too easy on the passengers, but as always, the fun's over at some point and it's time to get back to work from this diabolical fanfare. After year and a half of silence, we agreed to do an much needed live show and we are really stoked about it. We really needed to give our minds a welcomed break from writing period and give people a taste of what we've been working on. Not only it's the first live show in one and a half years, but also will consist entirely on new material, introduces the new lineup and the new sound of Crib45.  So what does it sound like? Since I'm very close to the songs and writing process, it's really hard not to be biased, but I guess that just like every single band's every new album, it's a step towards progression and evolving as a writer. Many different directions, on some level it's heavier, on some level it's mellower and calmer, but the thin red line on it will be the more organic sound, increasing vocal harmonies and linear structures. Even tho it might come as a disappointment to some people, but another thing that is for sure, there will be no The Ghosts Among Mes on this album. Sort of more in the vibes of Province and Last Breath, but more evolved musically. What I can say is that I've never been so anxious to play new songs like I am at the moment. Our new lineup is monstrous and we are sounding better than ever, I am extremely lucky to be surrounded by such talented people that I am right now. Seriously can't wait to unleash this monster and debut new songs. This might give you some idea, but the best way to tell is showing up to Club Semifinal on Feb 1st and taking a listen yourself.
